Childhood friends Cheam June Wei and Loh Kean Yew will face each other for the first time on the BWF World Tour, despite being the same age and sharing a long history on the court.
World No. 56 June Wei and Singapore’s world No. 15 Kean Yew, both 27, will clash in the last 16 of the German Open on Thursday.
This marks only their second official meeting in an international tournament, with their first encounter dating back to the 2017 Malaysia International Series final, where Kean Yew won.
